Any therapy that depends on a deep appreciation of emotional states was not designed for men. Psychotherapy is hardly gender neutral and it shows. The masculine tendency is towards action and when it comes to committing suicide, we leave the girls in the dust. Statistics show that although men and women attempt suicide at the same rates, men tend to succeed. Dependent on where you are in the western world male suicide is 3 to 10 times that of girls.
